Orthomolecular Medicine
Orthomolecular Medicine makes a clear distinction between what you eat and how each individual reacts to nutrition. For instance, if you were to give two individuals a banana, you would find that each individual absorbs a different amount of potassium from this same source!
When you do an orthomolecular analysis, you quickly learn how well your body absorbs and processes different Nutrients. Rather than eating the bare minimum in nutrients (The Recommended Daily Allowance - or RDA), we look at each individual based on their own personal reactions to foods and identify deficiencies.
Addressing deficiencies (or abundance) can lead to timely recovery from various problems which are otherwise hard to pin down.
Problems such as - Low energy, hair loss, weight gain, inflammation, etc etc.
The Holistic nature of the approach does use symptoms for sub-clinical analysis, yet doesn't fight the symptoms directly. It addresses underlying problems to help regain the balance and harmony of the body. A balanced, well, harmonious body heals itself and allows for wellness and health.
